Siliguri, May 07 (Siliguri Journal) – A huge tree fell onto Sevoke Road in Siliguri, surprising everyone. Luckily, pedestrians narrowly escaped harm, but some got hurt, and there was serious damage to vehicles. The Don Bosco More area was chaotic after the tree collapsed. Sadly, a girl got injured when the tree fell, crushing an e-rickshaw and a scooty.
On Tuesday morning, the incident took place when an old tree near Don Bosco More in the Bhakti Nagar police station area suddenly fell onto the road. Fortunately, people nearby were able to move away quickly and avoid getting trapped under the tree. Sadly, a young girl got hurt and was quickly taken to a private hospital for treatment.
Upon hearing about the tree blocking the road, officials from the Bhakti Nagar police station and traffic police acted swiftly. They managed to contain the situation and quickly cleared the tree, ensuring that traffic and pedestrians could move smoothly again.
