Commencement of Installation of 64 Street Lights Along Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass

Siliguri, May 09 (Siliguri Journal) – In Siliguri, residents’ requests for better lighting along the Eastern Bypass are being answered. The Public Work Department (PWD) has started installing street lights, fulfilling a long-awaited need in the area.

Reports indicate that insufficient lighting along the Eastern Bypass in Siliguri has been a persistent problem, contributing to increased criminal activities after dark. In response, local residents have consistently urged authorities to install street lights to address safety concerns.

As a result, the Public Work Department (PWD) has started installing 64 street lights along the Eastern Bypass to address the safety concerns raised by the community.
