Fulbari, August 03 (Siliguri Journal) – The road from Bhola More to Bhalobhasa More in Fulbari I Gram Panchayat, especially a 300-meter section in the Jamurivita area, is in terrible condition. Water has collected in many potholes, turning the road into a temporary pond and creating major issues for local travelers.
Residents have reported frequent accidents, both small and large, due to the road’s poor condition. Despite participating in a road blockade a few months ago to demand repairs, they have seen no action from local authorities, including the Pradhan and Panchayat.
Local residents have expressed their frustration, stating that the road has been in disrepair for a long time. Large potholes filled with water have turned it into a hazardous path for both small and large vehicles. The situation has made daily commuting difficult and dangerous, especially for those taking children to school.
Despite previous protests and demands for road repairs, residents have received only assurances without any concrete action. They are urging immediate repairs to ensure safety and ease of transportation.
Panchayat member Dayal Roy acknowledged the road’s poor condition and the difficulties faced by many. He stated that he has informed the Gram Panchayat Pradhan about the urgent need for repairs.
