Alipurduar, Jun 19 (Siliguri Journal) – In a devastating event, the historic Hollong Tourist Lodge (Hollong Bungalow) in Jaldapara National Park, Alipurduar, was completely destroyed by a raging fire. North Bengal Chief Forester Bhaskar JV and Parveen Kaswan, DFO of Jaldapara Wildlife Division, have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.

According to reports, the fire broke out on Tuesday night. Fortunately, no tourists were in the bungalow at the time because the national park was closed for its annual break. The wooden structure of the bungalow caused it to be quickly engulfed in flames.
