Siliguri, July 31 (Siliguri Journal) – In another railway mishap, an oil tanker train derailed in Rangapani. The train was headed to an oil depot in Siliguri when two of its tanker cars slipped off the tracks. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported.

The derailment caused a disruption in railway traffic, halting all trains scheduled to travel on the same route. The railway response team has initiated efforts to restore normalcy.

Notably, just over a month ago, Rangapani was the site of a major train accident involving a collision between the Kanchanjunga Express and a freight train, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.
