Security Tightened at NJP Railway Station Ahead of August 15th, Sniffer Dogs Deployed

Siliguri, August 14 (Siliguri Journal) – In preparation for the 78th Independence Day on August 15th, security at NJP railway station has been significantly tightened.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have launched a special inspection campaign to ensure passenger safety and prevent any potential incidents.

As part of the effort, sniffer dogs are being deployed to thoroughly check all trains departing from NJP, including major services like the Darjeeling Mail and Rajdhani Express. Passenger bags and luggage are also undergoing rigorous inspections.

NJP railway station, one of the largest in northeastern India, handles thousands of travelers daily. With the high volume of passengers, authorities have implemented these stringent security measures to ensure public safety during the Independence Day celebrations.
