Siliguri Authorities Detained Two Smugglers in Possession of Six Deer Antlers

Forest Rangers' Tactical Operation: Undercover as Customers, Nabs Smugglers with 6 Deer Antlers in Siliguri. Accused Face Court Hearing in Jalpaiguri.

Ambari, Nov 28 (Siliguri Journal) – In a big success, the forest team in Ambari range caught two people with six deer antlers.

On Monday night, acting on a tip-off, the Ambari Range forest team led by Ranger Alamgir Haque conducted an operation in the Farabari Nepali Basti area near Siliguri. They successfully recovered 6 deer antlers, one of which measured two to two and a half feet. The smugglers were apprehended, and a two-wheeler was confiscated during the operation.

Ranger Alamgir Haque mentioned that the operation’s success was due to posing as customers based on smuggling inputs. The arrested individuals were presented before the Jalpaiguri district court on Tuesday.
