Siliguri, Dec 28 (Siliguri Journal) – This past Thursday afternoon, the 5th International Rajbanshi Film Festival kicked off at Dina Bandhu Mancha in Siliguri. The event aims to preserve Rajbanshi films and celebrate their cultural significance.
Reports indicate that the event will span two days, with the festival shifting to Gossaipur on the following day. Notably, more than 15 films from the community are set to be screened during this two-day celebration.
The organizing committee of the festival, the Social and Cultural Development Organisation of Siliguri, is dedicated to showcasing the rich culture of the Rajbanshi Community. They emphasize that the annual festival serves as a means to carry forward the legacy of Rajbanshi films and their cultural significance.
