Naxalbari, Jul 03 (Siliguri Journal) – In a bold robbery, a group of thieves hit an iron grill factory in Uttar Rathkhola, Naxalbari, making off with iron goods and cutting machines worth lakhs of rupees.
Reports indicate that the factory, owned by Tapan Sheel, was targeted by thieves who exploited the cover of rain to carry out the theft. They loaded the stolen items into a pickup van and fled the scene in the early hours of Wednesday.
Upon receiving the news, officials from the Naxalbari police station promptly arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident. Factory owner Tapan Sheel attributed the theft to insufficient police patrolling in the area. He also expressed concern for the safety of other local businessmen.
