Two Arrested with Firearm and Ammunition in Siliguri

Two men were arrested in Siliguri after NJP police raided Kashmir Colony, recovering a firearm and ammunition from their scooty, which was also seized.

Siliguri, Jul 05 (Siliguri Journal) – The NJP police have arrested two individuals for possessing a firearm and two rounds of ammunition. The suspects, Narayan Mandal and Sanath Barman, are residents of Kamranguri and Paschim Dhantala in Fulbari, respectively.

Police sources revealed that the duo arrived at the Kashmir Colony area near NJP on a scooty to exchange weapons. Acting on a tip-off, NJP police raided the area on Thursday night. During a search of the two-wheeler, officials recovered the firearm and two rounds of ammunition, leading to the suspects’ arrest.

Following this, the scooty involved in the incident was also seized. The arrested duo was presented before the Jalpaiguri Court on Friday. Police are currently investigating the entire incident.
